Seth Meyers goes after Kellyanne Conway, Republicans for Al Franken hypocrisy

Al Franken has now been accused by seven women of sexual misconduct and the most vocal supporters of his resignation have been the Republicans who still support noted assaulters Donald Trump and Roy Moore.

On Thursday’s Late Night, Seth Meyers took a “Closer Look” at the Republican hypocrisy on Al Franken, as well as Donald Trump Jr’s recent hearing on his Russia meeting.

“Sexual harassment should be a non-partisan issue,” said Meyers, “and yet many Republicans have tried to cynically exploit the scandal for political gain while simultaneously refusing to denounce the abusers in their own party—like White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway.”

Seth showed examples of Conway denouncing Franken. “You work for a guy who’s been accused by more than 12 women of sexual harassment and assault,” he remarked, adding, “Kellyanne Conway has so little self-awareness that when she walks by a mirror, she thinks there’s a stranger in her house.”
