After Michael Flynn plead guilty to lying to the FBI last week, President Trump took to Twitter to complain about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and distance himself from his former national security advisor.

On Monday’s Daily Show, Trevor Noah reacted to Trump’s tweets by mockingly comparing him to NFL star Colin Kaepernick, who started kneeling during the national anthem to protest the treatment of black people in America.

“I know this sounds crazy, but I feel bad for Donald Trump,” Noah remarked. “Do you understand what he’s saying? He’s saying that he feels like law enforcement doesn’t treat him fairly.”

“Ya know—that his people [like Michael Flynn] are victims of a biased system. And then when he tweets about it, people tell him that that’s not the proper way to complain—you know—they say he’s ‘disrespecting the cops.’ But he’s not just gonna stand there and take this, people!”

“Oh s—t!” Noah exclaimed. “We need to get this man to the NFL! I think he wants to take a knee!”
