The biggest news of the day, perhaps of the month broke Monday as Robert Mueller handed the first indictment of his Trump-Russia investigation to former campaign manager Paul Manafort. But apparently, nobody told Fox News.

On Monday’s Late Night, Seth Meyers took a “Closer Look” at the Manafort indictment and how Fox News avoided talking about it.

“Well, Trump was right — we have started saying ‘Merry Christmas’ again,” said Meyers. “President Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort was charged today with 12 counts, including acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign principle, money laundering and conspiracy against the United States.”

Meyers launched into an explanation of the charges, but he got hung up on how other news outlets covered the news. Namely, Fox News, which chose to discuss the latest cheeseburger emoji. “Who cares?” exclaimed Meyers.

“Fox News, if you really want to talk about emojis, you could at least focus on the ones that are relevant to the Trump White House,” he said. He then offered a few emojis to match the current state of affairs.
