Trevor Noah criticizes Fox News response to Las Vegas massacre

After a lone gunman killed 58 people in Las Vegas Sunday night, Democrats called for change and used the tragedy to implore Congress to pass common sense gun legislation. Meanwhile, on Fox News, well, they didn’t know what to make of the shooting.

As Trevor Noah pointed out on Tuesday’s Daily Show, Fox News anchored tried and failed to politicize the issue, while cautioning liberals not to do the same.

The killer was a wealthy white man and he seemingly targeted white conservatives at a country music concert. “Right now, he doesn’t fit any profile of any mass shooter,” Trevor remarked. “And you know who’s having a hard time processing all of that information? The good people at Fox News.”

“Since Sunday’s shooting didn’t fit any of Fox’s established narratives, they couldn’t politicize it,” Noah said. “And if they couldn’t politicize it, then I guess neither should anyone else.”

“I mean, what kind of terrible people would push a political agenda the day after a mass shooting?” Cue the countless clips of Fox News anchors using previous shootings to push for Muslim bans.
