Michael Che and Colin Jost returned from SNL‘s summer break a little early this year with Weekend Update: Summer Edition. While the pair missed out on many of the best jokes of the summer, there was one big character they couldn’t let go.
“It’s me, Anthony Scaramucci! The Mooch!” Bill Hader announced, after interrupting Che with a FaceTime call as the former White House Communications Director. “I heard you two nutless liberal ass wipes mention my name earlier, and when I hear my name three times, I appear like a Goomba Beetlejuice.”
Michael Che asked The Mooch if he was surprised to have only lasted 11 days as Trump’s communications director. “Hell no,” Hader’s Scaramucci replied. “Not after what I said to that ass-wipe if from The New Yorker, which was off the report, but I guess people didn’t like it when I said that — and let me see if I can clean this up for primetime — that Steve Bannon was trying to ‘s’ his own ‘c.’ And by the by, I was completely misquoted. I didn’t say Bannon tried to ‘s’ his own ‘c,’ he did it! He made contact! I saw it, tongue to tip. Next question.”
Hader assured Che he has no regrets. “All I did was sell my company, miss the birth of my child and ruin my entire reputation, all to be king of idiot mountain for 11 days.”
