Seth Meyers blasts Trump for launching ‘Real News’ propaganda

On Monday’s Late Night, Seth Meyers took a “Closer Look” at the Trump Administration’s attempt to combat “fake news” by posting its own news on Trump’s Facebook page.

Meyers began by discussing Trump’s current vacation in which he will spend 17 days at his own properties. “I’m not criticizing Trump for taking vacations, I’m criticizing him for being a lying hypocrite,” Meyers said, before showing numerous clips of the president criticizing Obama for taking vacations. “And even lying hypocrites deserve vacations.”

The host then moved on to discuss Trump’s “Real News,” a new digital video series that began with former CNN commentator Kayleigh McEnany listing Trump’s accomplishments in office so far.

“God, that was like state news crossed with a school announcement,” Seth remarked. “‘It’s pizza day in the cafeteria, but you won’t hear that from the failing New York Times!’”

Watch the clip for more of Trump’s self-promotion.

  1. So the FCC is okay with this? We are in more serious trouble than most realize. Those blind fans of 45 eat all this up and are immune to education through facts. There are millions of them. This is a real problem.
