The Mooch’s legacy has already lasted longer than his tenure, but the song is almost over as the last of the late night shows get their digs at Trump’s rambunctious, yet short-lived, communications director.
Last week, Mario Cantone brought a pitch-perfect impression of Anthony Scaramucci to Comedy Central’s The President Show, but just a week later, he already had to say goodbye after Gen. John Kelly fired The Mooch on Monday, just ten days after being announced as the White House’s new press guy,
“Do I really have to go? Now that our love is so new?” Cantone’s Scaramucci asked Anthony Atamanuik’s Trump. “I’m sorry, but Kelly says you gotta. For real this time,” responded the sad president.
“At least now I can go see my wife and newborn son,” Scaramucci said, before bursting into laughter. “Nah, I’m not gonna do that.”
He then grabbed Trump into a deep embrace and kissed him hard on the mouth, before being yanked out of the Oval Office by the oversized hand of Gen. John Kelly.
Fare thee well, Mooch. We hardly knew ye.
