During his campaign, Trump “promised he would devote additional resources to combating” opioid use, “but when asked what his plan was for combatting the issue, he couldn’t help but make it all about himself.”
Meyers showed a clip of Trump being asked about the opioid problem in New Hampshire in which he instead talked about how many friends he had in the state and how much fun he was having there.
“So just to clarify, his response to the opioid crisis is ‘I have friends and we have a lot of fun,’” remarked Meyers.
