SNL mocks the guy who came up with the Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad

Saturday Night Live weighed in on the week’s most mockable moment as Beck Bennett played the writer-director of Pepsi’s controversial ad campaign starring Kendall Jenner as the savior of the resistance.

In the sketch, Bennett tries to explain to his sister, then her husband, then a black neighbor his vision for the commercial right before he shoots the ad, but the feedback is less than stellar.

“And so, everybody is marching, right? And they can see police officers, and they think it’s gonna go bad because there’s kind of, like, a standoff. And then, Kendall Jenner walks in, and she walks up to one of the police officers, and she hands him a Pepsi. And then, that Pepsi brings everybody together. Isn’t that, like, the best ad ever?”

After a long pause, he says, “I think maybe you just don’t you get it.” But it doesn’t take long for him to realize, maybe they’re right. Watch the clip to see what happens.
