Colbert turns Steve Bannon’s ‘cuck’ insult back on him after National Security Council ouster

Steve Bannon loves to call people “cucks.” The word used by alt-right nationalists to refer to conservative traitors is everything that’s wrong with modern politics. But that won’t stop Stephen Colbert from using it to turn the insult back on Trump’s chief strategist.

On Thursday’s Late Show, Colbert ran down the latest news from the White House as Steve Bannon was kicked off the National Security Council. Apparently the move was not a demotion and Bannon simply completed his work on the Council. “I’m not sure if he accomplished his goal,” remarked Colbert. “There are still some Muslims in America.”

Further insight suggests Jared Kushner is the reason Bannon was removed, and Bannon threatened to quit if he was demoted. “Wait a second, Steve Bannon, you threatened to quit if you got kicked off the National Security Council, then, you got kicked off and you didn’t quit,” said Colbert. “That’s a TCM, bro.”

“Total Cuck Move!”
