Stephen Colbert continues to harp on Devin Nunes and Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin

On Tuesday, Stephen Colbert drew a diagram of Devin Nunes to visualize how he fits into Trump’s inner circle. As reports continue to come out about Nunes, Colbert continues to mock him during his Late Show monologues.

Reports came out Thursday revealing that Nunes had a secret contact in the White House feeding him information. “Nunes has refused to reveal who it was, out of concern that if his source was exposed, he’ll have to come up with a new reason to cancel all the Russia hearings.”

CNBC asked Vladimir Putin about the U.S. election and whether he tried to influence the outcome. In response, Putin referred to Ronald Reagan refusing to raise taxes, saying “Read my lips: No.”

Putin got the reference wrong, though. It was George H.W. Bush who said “Read my lips, no new taxes.” As Colbert put it, “It’s the reason Vlad lost Jeopardy’s War Criminals Week.
