Stephen Colbert warns the GOP healthcare plan could be like ‘Game of Thrones’

On Wednesday’s Late Show, Stephen Colbert once again discussed the Republicans’ new healthcare plan. Now being called “Trumpcare,” the replacement for Obamacare has not been popular.

“It took the GOP forever to release this thing,” Colbert said. “They are like the George R.R. Martins of health care — and just like in Game of Thrones, a lot of your favorite characters are going to die without warning.”

Senator Rand Paul has said the healthcare plan is “dead on arrival” and will not pass. “And Rand Paul knows ‘dead on arrival,'” Stephen joked, “because I believe that was his presidential campaign slogan.”

Meanwhile, Trump has said that if the bill doesn’t pass, Republicans will be subjected to an electoral “bloodbath” in 2018. “Which would be terrible,” Colbert said, “because their health-care plan does not cover ‘bloodbath.'”

  1. I’ll take what congress is having for my healthcare! (When they are giving up their health insurance to have what they are foisting off on us – THEN it will be good enough for me!!!)

  2. Here’s my take: #45 and his gang of merry people are putting such CRAZY shit out so that we’ll all go bonkers reacting to it. Then they’ll say, “Okay, we’ve made it better” (and the changes will be minimal) – because it’s what they wanted all along.
