Bill Maher roasts the media for praising Trump’s speech to Congress

“He read words off a teleprompter in front of adults."

Bill Maher recapped the week in Trump news during his monologue on Friday’s Real Time. This week, Maher riffed on Trump’s speech to Congress and recent news more of his administration has ties to Russia.

On Wednesday night, news broke that a “thousand-year-old cracker named Jeff Sessions,” now attorney general, spoke with Russian ambassadors during the Trump campaign.

“Is there anyone that doesn’t talk to the Russians?” Maher asked, referring to the numerous members of Trump’s team who have been caught lying about their relationship to the country. “It’s like six degrees of Kevin Putin.”

Maher then went on to roast the media for lauding Trump after his speech to Congress, saying that his “presidential” tone was nothing to write home about. “He read words off a teleprompter in front of adults,” said Maher. “The same thing the Olsen twins did at seven.”

    1. Talks out of both sides of his face, signed an order to overturn Obama’s clean water act, then the very next day makes a speech and includes the line”continue to promote clean water”.
      Makes no sense to me.

  2. People, people, he’s our “President”. It was his first attempt at stating a union, in front of the Congress, no less. You know how mean they are! I for one thought he moved his lips real well, didn’t fall off the podium once, and I don’t recall any racist remarks for once. Go to Hell Obama, you terrorist!
