On this week’s SNL, host Alec Baldwin brought back his Donald Trump impression, this time to take the Ninth Circuit Court to court. After federal judges stopped Trump’s immigration ban last week, Trump tweeted that he would be taking them to court. They surely didn’t expect it to be The People’s Court.
“Mr. Trump, you understand this is a TV court?” the judge, Cecily Strong asks, acknowledging that People’s Court is not the usual place for a trial over an executive order to be heard. Trump replies, “That’s okay, I’m a TV president.”
“Thank you judge, or what do you call a lady judge? A flight attendant? Something like that?” Trump begins. “I signed a tremendous travel ban, I didn’t read it but I signed it. People took pictures of me holding up the paper. Very official. And these judges
have been very disrespectful. I’m right, they’re wrong. I want the ban reinstated — also I want $725.”
