Stephen Colbert suggests Sean Spicer start writing his post-retirement memoir

Stephen Colbert reviewed Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s first three weeks in office on Friday’s Late Show and suggested he start preparing for retirement. Spicer has had a rough start dealing with the press, shouting down critics, and getting brilliantly mocked by Melissa McCarthy on SNL.

According to rumor circulating the White House, Donald Trump has been unhappy with Spicer. He was also offended by SNL‘s portrayal of him because “a woman playing a man makes Spicer look weak.” Colbert clarified, “First of all, I’ve met Melissa McCarthy and she could kick the ass of every man in that administration.”

After showing clips of Spicer getting in arguments with the press corp, Colbert remarked that things do not look good for Sean. “You might want to get a head start on your post-retirement memoir,” Stephen suggested. And he even came up with a name for it, “Long Ties, Big Lies, and Made-Up Crowd Size: My Crazy Three Weeks in the Trump Administration.”
