On Monday’s Late Show, Stephen Colbert got to the truth behind the infamous Bowling Green Massacre. President Trump spoke Monday morning to US Central Command. “Surprisingly, he did not order them to nuke the judicial branch,” said Stephen. Instead, what he did talk about was the determination of terrorists to strike the US, and the “dishonest” media’s refusal to cover it. “It makes perfect sense. You know the old news adage: If it bleeds, don’t talk about it.”
In one case, the press did refuse to talk about a terror attack. That’s because it didn’t happen. Kellyanne Conway last week claimed that two refugees were radicalized in the US and were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green Massacre. She then complained the story didn’t get covered. “Yes, it didn’t get covered on the flimsy excuse that there was no Bowling Green Massacre,” declared Stephen.
“I think we all remember where we weren’t were when we didn’t hear that nothing had happened,” Colbert said, not remember the events that didn’t take place. “I say they need to present both sides of the story. The things that did happen, and the things that didn’t happen!” Watch the clip to find out what did or didn’t happen.
