He’s back! Stephen brings back ‘Colbert Report’ persona to bid farewell to Obama

Stephen Colbert brought back his Colbert Report persona to bid farewell to President Obama on his last night in office. The conservative pundit “Stephen Colbert,” who, thanks to copyright lawyers, is referred to here as the “twin cousin” of Colbert’s Comedy Central counterpart, appeared on the Late Show to reflect on the last eight years and say, “Thanks, Obama.”

“I know the Constitution says you’ve got to go, but I will miss you,” Colbert admitted. “You were a worthy adversary. You were a leader of vision, patience, dignity, passion, and humanity. And it really felt good fighting for the opposite of all those things. And with our next president, I think we won.”

  1. Oh how I have missed the werd. Stupid copyright work provision when they take the “product” of someone’s genius and years of honing his craft and call it corporate ownership.

Didn’t Letterman have an issue with his top ten or stupid pet tricks? No one can “be” Steven Colbert it is his actual humanness that MADE the character and created the concepts (albeit maybe other writers as well). It doesn’t matter from a social justice point of view. Like Tracy Ullman’s famous case to try to profiteer on The Simpsons.
