Seth Meyers looks at how Trump’s campaign is killing his brand

"He showed up at a benefit for kids with AIDS and pretended to be a donor. That sounds like a storyline from an episode of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.'"

On Tuesday’s Late Night, Seth Meyers took a “Closer Look” at what Donald Trump’s polarizing campaign is doing to the Trump brand. “Before he became a presidential candidate, Donald Trump was a blustery New York City businessman known mostly to voters not for the person he was behind closed doors, but for the character he played in tabloids and on TV,” Meyers said. “And as he has often reminded us in recent weeks, back then, life was so much easier.” So simple that his life could have been turned into a classic Christmas movie, “It’s a Beautiful Simple Life. So Beautiful. Like You Wouldn’t Believe. The Simplest and Most Beautiful Life. Everybody Says So.” As the saying goes in that film, “Every time a bell rings, a Victoria’s Secret angel gets groped.” Watch the clip for more.
