Trevor Noah pities Katrina Pierson: “I really feel bad for her and all of Donald Trump’s surrogates”

On Monday’s Daily Show, Trevor Noah showed pity for Donald Trump’s campaign spokesperson and surrogates. Katrina Pierson, who Larry Wilmore calls Trump’s ‘spokesgoblin,’ came under fire recently for falsely claiming Obama started the war in Afghanistan. But while other media outlets berated her, Trevor took the time to pity her.

“I really feel so bad for her and all of Donald Trump’s surrogates,” Noah said. “Because that has to be the hardest job in the world. As a surrogate, whatever a candidate says, the surrogate has to defend it.”

At a campaign rally last week, Trump said Obama was the founder of ISIS. “Obama was not the founder of ISIS,” declared Noah. “It is crazy that you have to say this, but let’s get that straight, all right. George Bush was the founder. No, look, really, Bush wasn’t the founder, either. But if any president helped create it, he did the most.”

Trump then went back and forth on whether or not he was being sarcastic about the statement, and Pierson and friends had to go back and forth in their defense. As Noah put it, Trump “royally f*cks them.”

Larry Wilmore reacts to ‘Nightly Show’ cancelation: ‘Racism is sloved!’

“That’s exactly what America needs in a president,” Noah added. “A man so all over the place even the people who are hired as communication specialists are now basically the shrugging emoji.” ¯_(ツ)_/¯
