Larry David returned to Saturday Night Live this weekend to bring back his perfect Bernie Sanders character in the episode’s cold open. The clip begins with Darrell Hammond returning as Donald Trump as Jay Pharoah’s Ben Carson endorsed Trump, only to creep everyone out and say, “Bye, America. It’s been weird,” before drifting off the stage. Beck Bennett’s Jake Tapper then turns his attention to Michigan primary winner Bernie Sanders, who couldn’t help but comment on his young supporters and their social media shenanigans.

“I want to thank everyone who voted for me, and apologize to everyone else for making your Facebook feeds so, so annoying,” he says. “I mean, I love my supporters, but they’re too much, right? I’m great, but I’m not five-posts-a-day great. With all due respect to my supporters, get a life.”

David also pokes fun at his supporters’ demographics, admitting, “My message is resonating with a very diverse group of white people. And I’ve got supporters of all ages — 18-year olds, 19-year olds…That’s it.” He goes on to proclaim, “The young people love me, Tapper. Because I’m like them. I got a lot of big plans, and absolutely no idea how to achieve them.” Watch the clip to see the rest, and find out what happened to Ben Carson at Trump’s rally.
