On Tuesday’s Late Night, Seth Meyers conducted another Late Night Demopublicratic Presidential Debate. Using footage from the previous debates, artfully edited, Seth interacts with Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Marco Rubio, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, and John Kasich. He begins with a question for Donald Trump, who was coming off his third primary win, and was expected to do very well on Super Tuesday. Seth asks, “What do you think this means for the future of our country?” Trump answers, “This is going to be a disaster.” With that, the fun begins, and as random as Seth’s questions become, each answer is somehow more perfect than the last.
“Dr. Carson, if you were elected, what would your secret service code name be?” he asks. “Fruit salad,” Carson responds. “Senator Cruz, if you were elected, would you being sexy back?” Seth ponders. “I would not bring it back in any widespread use,” Cruz counters. “The American people appreciate that,” Seth retorts. At one point, Seth prepares to cast a new Rat Pack movie and offers to cast Bernie as Dean Martin. Bernie is not having it, insisting, “Let me be Frank!” Watch the clip to see who has a great Dino impression.
