Trevor Noah and his correspondents offered up an end of the year review on this year’s final episode of The Daily Show. It was an eventful year for the show as Jon Stewart left and Trevor Noah took over, but after that acknowledgement, it’s on to the next thing as Trevor reminds us that “2015 was definitely an eventful year, from the Charlie Hebdo shootings to the Planned Parenthood shootings to the shootings in Mali to the Paris shootings to the San Bernardino shootings…Shit year, really.” 2015 was the year of 2016 as the presidential elections ramped up, and it was a big year for gay rights as the Supreme Court ruled same sex marriage legal in all 50 states. But some people were unhappy about this, like county clerk Kim Davis, who became a hero for the traditional marriage argument. Trevor brings out Jessica Williams to discuss Drake, Roy Wood Jr. to find satisfaction in Martin Shkreli’s downfall, Jordan Klepper to talk about the bad boys of the year, Desi Lydic and Hasan Minhaj to review the year for women, and Ronny Chieng to ridicule pizza rat.
