On Monday’s Late Night, Seth Meyers took a closer look at the reactions to the San Bernardino attack. Obama spoke from the Oval Office Sunday night in the wake of the attack to address concerns over ISIS and domestic terrorism. One of the biggest criticisms from Republicans continues to be that Obama will not use the term “radical Islamic terrorism,” but Seth shows clips of Obama speaking at different times in the speech about radicalization, Islam, and terrorism. “So he used the words radical, Islam, and terrorism; he just didn’t use them in the right order. Which would be a problem if it was a spell and he was Harry Potter. But he’s not, so it isn’t.”

Seth goes on to blast the media for going “batshit crazy” over the apartment of the two shooters, and committing what The Daily Show called a “journalistic abomination” by rummaging through the house and exposing photos and identification to the world. MSNBC and CNN ran wild in the house, but Seth is proud to report that Fox News showed restraint. Unfortunately, that was the only time they showed restraint, he says, before rolling footage of Fox anchors and pundits blaming Obama and political correctness. He then reveals the ridiculous responses from presidential candidates, including Marco Rubio, who wondered why nobody is talking about bomb control. “Yeah, that’s right! Bomb control! Why aren’t bombs illegal? How come you can just walk into any Wal-Mart, go to the bomb aisle, and buy a bomb, no questions asked? Oh wait.”
