Trevor Noah spent a segment of The Daily Show discussing the recent feud between Donald Trump and Jeb Bush over Jeb’s brother George. During the last Republican debate, Jeb said there’s one thing he knows about his brother: “He kept us safe.” A month later, Trump finally thought of a comeback, saying he didn’t want to mention it at the time, but the World Trade Center came down during George Bush’s presidency. “Oh snap! Donald Trump said a fact that happened,” says Trevor, giving Trump what little acknowledgment he deserves for stating that fact.
After Jeb took to Twitter to call Trump pathetic and restate that George kept us safe, Trump responded, “The World Trade Center came down, so when he said we were safe, that’s not safe!” Trevor was forced to once again admit, “strictly within the contents of that sentence, Donald trump is…” but he can’t quite seem to get the words out, so he settles for, “He’s not wrong,” before worrying, “If he’s not wrong about this, what other things are Trump not wrong about?!” But the final question is for Jeb. If George wasn’t responsible for 9/11, why is Obama responsible for Benghazi? Watch the video to see Jeb struggle to answer.
